Responsibilities
- Assist the Logistics Manager and Assets team in detailed construction logistics planning.
- Coordinate transportation, delivery, loading and unloading of construction materials and equipment.
- Ensure effective site traffic management, including planning routes for the removal and disposal of excavated materials.
- Coordinate workforce transportation and determine bus routes between worker accommodation and project sites.
- Coordinate material loading/unloading activities and designated parking facilities.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, Project Engineers, Site Engineers and subcontractors to ensure smooth site operations.
- Ensure proper storage, stacking and handling of materials at construction sites and yards.
- Coordinate the provision and maintenance of portable toilets and sewage removal services.
- Ensure adequate supply and replenishment of potable and construction water across project sites.
- Monitor temporary power supply, electrical DBs and power distribution arrangements.
- Ensure site welfare facilities are properly maintained and operational.
- Monitor site watchmen and maintain their attendance and timesheets.
- Maintain site and office facilities for project staff.
- Respond effectively to short-notice changes and urgent logistics requirements.
- Ensure all logistics activities are carried out in accordance with HSE requirements and site safety procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with 8–15 years of construction/civil project experience.
- Strong experience in construction logistics, material handling, transportation and site coordination.
- Experience coordinating workforce transportation, site traffic management and material movement.
- Knowledge of construction material storage, equipment handling and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with GRN processes and ERP/logistics systems, preferably Xpedion or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of HSE requirements related to construction logistics and site operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organisational, multitasking, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments, contractors and project sites.
- English language proficiency is mandatory.
- Hindi, Urdu or Arabic will be an advantage.
- Valid UAE Driving Licence is preferred/required as per company requirements.
- Candidates currently available in the UAE/GCC are preferred.
