We are a leading [Construction/Landscaping/Design-Build] firm, and we're looking for a Logistics Professional who speaks the language of both hardscape and softscape.
This isn't just another trucking job. You'll be the central nervous system for our projects, ensuring the right resources are in the right place at the perfect time.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and manage intricate logistics plans for multiple construction and softscape installation projects simultaneously.
- Coordinate the timely delivery of bulk materials (aggregate, soil, pavers) and delicate live goods (trees, shrubs, sod) to often tight urban job sites.
- Proactively problem-solve around common industry challenges: weather delays, supplier shortages, equipment availability, and site access issues.
- Liaise with project managers, site foremen, nursery suppliers, heavy equipment operators, and trucking companies.
- Manage inventory levels of common materials and track project-specific assets.
- Utilize GPS and fleet management software to optimize routes and ensure efficient use of resources.
The ideal candidate has:
- 3+ years of logistics, dispatch, or supply chain management experience.
- A proven background in the construction, civil, or landscaping industries. (This is non-negotiable we need you to hit the ground running).
- An innate understanding of the unique requirements for handling and transporting construction materials and horticultural products.
- Master-level skills in prioritization and communication. You thrive under pressure.
- Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
