Roles and Responsibilities
1. Shipment Coordination & Execution
- Oversee UAE and GCC trucking and rail shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Coordinate with transport providers, drivers, and warehouses to manage daily operations efficiently.
2. Logistics Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and verify all required shipping documents, including delivery notes, invoices, and customs clearance.
- Ensure compliance with UAE transport regulations and company policies.
3. Carrier & Vendor Management
- Liaise with trucking companies and rail transport providers to ensure efficient scheduling and delivery.
- Negotiate transport rates and evaluate vendor performance for continuous improvement.
4. Tracking & Delivery Monitoring
- Monitor shipments in real-time and provide regular status updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Proactively resolve delays, issues, or route changes by coordinating with transport providers.
5. Cost Optimization & Efficiency
- Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs while maintaining service quality.
- Analyze route planning and suggest more efficient transport solutions to improve delivery timelines.
6. Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution
- Handle shipment delays, damaged goods, and transportation disruptions with quick resolutions.
- Work with internal teams to mitigate potential risks and ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Customs & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all land shipments comply with UAE customs and transport regulations.
- Stay updated on new policies that may impact logistics operations and implement necessary adjustments.
8. Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with sales, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and prepare logistics performance reports.
