Role Description

• Develop and implement the Group's logistics and distribution strategy to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products from factories .
• Plan, organize, and oversee all transportation and distribution operations for the Group ensuring optimal service levels.
• Manage and optimize the utilization of the Group's fleet, including route planning, scheduling, maintenance coordination, fuel management, and vehicle performance monitoring.
• Ensure the integrity of the cold chain throughout transportation and distribution processes by maintaining compliance with food safety standards, temperature control requirements, HACCP, and ISO 22000 regulations.
• Coordinate daily logistics activities to ensure uninterrupted product availability across all locations.
• Monitor logistics performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), On-Time In-Full (OTIF), fleet utilization, transportation costs, delivery accuracy, and customer service levels, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Develop and manage the logistics budget, controlling transportation, fleet, fuel, maintenance, and third-party logistics costs while identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost reduction.
• Lead, coach, and develop the logistics team, including logistics supervisors, transport coordinators, fleet controllers, dispatch officers, and drivers, ensuring high performance, productivity, and compliance with company policies.
• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring efficient movement of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and equipments.
• Establish contingency and emergency logistics plans to minimize business disruption caused by vehicle breakdowns, supply shortages, traffic incidents, seasonal demand fluctuations, or operational emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company requirements related to transportation, fleet management, occupational health and safety, environmental regulations, and food safety standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices, digital logistics solutions, transportation management systems (TMS), route optimization technologies, and data-driven decision-making processes.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with third-party logistics providers, transport contractors, vehicle suppliers, maintenance vendors, and government authorities to ensure reliable and cost-effective logistics services.
• Support new business initiatives and expansion projects by planning logistics requirements for new branch openings, promotional campaigns, seasonal demand, catering events, and business-to-business operations.
• Prepare and present periodic logistics performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management, highlighting operational performance, cost analysis, risks, improvement opportunities, and resource requirements to support the Group's business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10-15 years hands on experience in FMCG , Food & Beverages , Chilled Logistics & Retail.
