The project:

This project offers the chance to join a talented Mace team in delivering a major mixed use remote project, collaborating with renowned architects and global consultants. The project involves extensive infrastructure, marine and built assets, delivered rapidly through a hands-on Project Management approach, ideal for those experienced in managing both main and sub-contract packages.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Develop and implement the overall site logistics strategy for the programme.
  • Manage material deliveries, equipment movement, laydown areas, and site storage.
  • Oversee traffic management, site access control, and movement of personnel.
  • Coordinate logistics activities with construction, HSW, commercial, and planning teams.
  • Establish and maintain temporary site infrastructure including access roads, welfare, and modular facilities.
  • Manage logistics suppliers, subcontractors, transport providers, and off site support facilities.
  • Monitor logistics KPIs, reporting dashboards, and performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with Mace health, safety, wellbeing, and quality standards.
  • Lead, supervise, and develop the site logistics team, promoting continuous improvement.

You'll need to have:

  • Minimum 10 years experience as a Logistics Manager on major construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works, and logistics planning.
  • Experience working in remote or challenging project environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent coordination, planning, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing multi disciplinary site teams.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and client teams.
  • Deep commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing performance.
  • Experience with digital logistics tools and reporting platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive, delivery focused mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
