Job Description

We are looking for a Logistics Manager with extensive retail industry experience to oversee our client's end-to-end supply chain logistics.

The role focuses on optimizing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods in a high-volume retail environment, ensuring efficient delivery to stores, distribution centers, and direct-to-customer channels.

You will drive cost efficiencies, improve on-time delivery, and support our omnichannel retail strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, inventory distribution, and order fulfillment.
  • Oversee inbound/outbound shipments, carrier negotiations, route optimization, and freight management to minimize costs and delays.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels across retail channels to prevent stockouts or overstock, supporting seasonal demands and promotions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, distribution centers, and retail stores for seamless supply chain flow.
  • Lead a team of logistics coordinators, warehouse staff, and drivers; provide training, performance management, and process improvements.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, logistics costs, load efficiency, and inventory accuracy; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations, and retail-specific standards (e.g., cold chain for perishables).
  • Negotiate contracts with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and vendors.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and ERP tools for real-time visibility and reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics management, with at least 3 years in the retail sector (e.g., managing multi-channel distribution for e-commerce and brick-and-mortar).
  • Proven experience handling high-volume retail logistics, including peak seasons, omnichannel fulfillment, and reverse logistics (returns).
  • Strong knowledge of retail supply chain challenges (e.g., fast fashion cycles, perishable goods, or multi-site distribution).
