Logistics Officer

Job Summary

To organize and manage transportation warehousing and supply chain operations to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of goods and materials from origin to final destination at the lowest possible cost and highest efficiency

Key Responsibilities

Plan and oversee shipping receiving and storage operations

Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation land sea air with carriers and suppliers

Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely availability of required materials

Prepare and maintain shipping records and documentation invoices bills of lading customs paperwork

Liaise with customs authorities and handle clearance procedures when required

Manage relationships with suppliers and freight companies negotiate rates and contracts

Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities to reduce them without compromising quality

Prepare periodic reports on logistics performance and key performance indicators KPIs

Resolve issues related to delays or disruptions in the supply chain

Ensure compliance with local and international transportation and shipping regulations

Coordinate with internal departments Sales Procurement Warehousing to ensure smooth operations

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field

1 to 3 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain

Required Skills

Good understanding of warehouse and supply chain management systems ERP WMS

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively

Attention to detail in handling documents and reports

Proficiency in English spoken and written preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel
