Job summary/Role description
We are seeking a hands-on Logistics Supervisor to coordinate and support waste collection operations from multiple construction sites through to final disposal at authorized facilities. The successful candidate will ensure full regulatory compliance throughout the transportation cycle, maintain accurate documentation, and act as the operational link between field teams, administration, and contract stakeholders.
Duties and responsibilities
- Coordinate and support waste collection activities from multiple construction sites to designated disposal facilities, ensuring a smooth and compliant end-to-end process
- Ensure full compliance with local UAE regulations governing waste handling, transportation, and disposal throughout the entire cycle
- Liaise closely with the operational team to plan and coordinate daily collection and transport activities
- Ensure all required paperwork (manifests, permits, transport documentation) is properly completed and kept up to date at all times
- Control and verify the weight and value of commodities/materials being transported, ensuring accuracy against records
- Liaise with the administration team to align on invoicing, payments, and reconciliation of transported volumes/values
- Support basic contract management activities, including monitoring deliverables and terms against day-to-day operations
- Identify and flag operational or compliance issues proactively, escalating where necessary
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications
- University degree or diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a logistics/supervisory role within the UAE
- Prior experience in waste transportation or waste management logistics strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of UAE waste management regulations and compliance requirements (or strong willingness/ability to quickly acquire this knowledge)
- Basic understanding of contract management principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; solid general IT skills
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail, particularly around documentation and record-keeping
- Good communication and coordination skills, able to work effectively across operational and administrative teams
- Valid UAE driving license preferred
- Comfortable working in a hybrid model (50% remote / 50% on-site in Abu Dhabi city and KEZAD
