Description
A leading company in Kuwait is looking for the below positions for immediate hiring
Job Description
Electronic Diagnostics: Utilize Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET) software to plug into machine ECMs, diagnose fault codes, and monitor real-time engine performance.
Hydraulic System Repair: Troubleshoot and overhaul complex Cat hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, and control valves, ensuring they meet factory pressure specifications.
Powertrain & Engine Overhaul: Perform mid-life or major overhauls on Cat diesel engines (e.g., C7, C9, C15) and transmissions, often working in the dust-controlled environment of the central workshop.
Undercarriage Maintenance: Inspect and repair Cat track systems, including rollers, idlers, and track tensioning, which wear rapidly in Kuwait's abrasive desert sand.
Qualification:
Technical Certification: Completion of the Cat ThinkBig program or an equivalent Heavy Equipment Diploma is highly preferred by Kuwaiti firms like Al-Bahar (the local Cat dealer).
System Knowledge: Mastery of Cat SIS (Service Information System) for retrieving parts manuals and repair procedures.
Experience – 5 to 7 Years in Kuwait
- Senior mechanic - Hydraulic system specialist.
Job Description
System Diagnostics: Use pressure gauges and flow meters to troubleshoot hydraulic circuits. You'll identify if a loss of power is due to a pump failure, a leaking control valve, or internal cylinder bypass.
Component Overhaul: Disassemble and rebuild high-pressure hydraulic pumps (piston, gear, or vane), motors, and multi-spool control valves to factory specifications.
Cylinder Servicing: Reseal and re-chrome hydraulic cylinders and jacks. In Kuwait's abrasive sand, rod seals fail frequently; you are responsible for ensuring zero leaks.
Hose Fabrication: Operate hose crimping machinery to manufacture custom high-pressure hoses (up to 6,000 PSI) for field replacements.
Fluid Management: Monitor hydraulic oil quality and filtration. You'll coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to schedule oil flushing to prevent varnishing caused by extreme summer heat.
Qualifications: Technical Expertise: Mastery of reading hydraulic schematics (ISO symbols) to trace circuits across complex machines like CAT or Komatsu.
Precision Tooling: Proficiency with micrometers and calipers to measure tolerances in pump housings and valves.
Education: Vocational diploma in Fluid Power or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Usually 5+ years specifically in heavy-duty hydraulics. Experience with closed-loop hydrostatic drives is a major advantage.
