Role Description Lower and upper elementary teachers at PIS will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the American curriculum, the Montessori Method, and STEAM principles. Responsibilities include preparing daily lesson plans, teaching core subjects, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to support individual learning needs. Teachers will create a safe, inclusive classroom environment, manage classroom routines, and collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives. Regular communication with parents and guardians about student development and participation in school events, professional development sessions, and meetings are expected. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo.

Qualifications

  • Ability to design and deliver age-appropriate lessons for lower and upper elementary students using American curriculum standards.
  • Understanding of the Montessori Method and willingness to integrate Montessori principles into daily classroom practice.
  • Familiarity with STEAM education and capacity to incorporate hands-on, project-based learning across multiple subjects.
  • Strong classroom management, learner-centered teaching, and differentiated instruction skills to support diverse learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; relevant teaching certification or license is preferred.
  • Previous experience teaching elementary grades in an international or bilingual school environment is an advantage.
  • Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and ongoing professional growth.
