LPS Engineer

Role Description The LPS Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Alexandria, Egypt, with a mix of on-site work. The role includes designing and reviewing lightning protection systems and earthing layouts for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and manufacturer guidelines. Day-to-day tasks involve preparing technical drawings and calculations, developing bills of quantities, and supporting the selection and application of DEHN products and SPD devices. The LPS Engineer will collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and clients to provide technical support, respond to inquiries, and participate in site visits or inspections when needed. The role also includes preparing technical documentation, reports, and presentations, as well as staying current with industry standards and best practices in lightning protection and earthing.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in electrical or power engineering, with knowledge of earthing, lightning protection systems, and surge protection devices.
• Proficiency in technical design and drafting tools (AutoCAD and Revit) and the ability to produce clear drawings and schematics.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations, interpret technical standards, and apply relevant codes and regulations.
• Experience working with or specifying branded protection systems (experience with DEHN products is an advantage).
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; professional certifications in lightning protection or earthing are a plus.
• Willingness to conduct occasional site visits, and comfort working in a hybrid arrangement combining office, site, and remote work.
