Our client is seeking an Associate / Analyst to join its Dubai-based M&A team within an international bank, covering transactions across the GCC and wider MENA region.
The successful candidate will support live M&A mandates from initial analysis through to completion, contribute to financial modelling, valuation analysis, preparation of transaction materials, and coordination of due diligence processes, working closely with senior team members across a range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute across the full M&A lifecycle, from marketing support through to transaction execution
- Assist in marketing initiatives and client engagement activities, ensuring high quality and reliability of all materials
- Support valuation and financial modelling across live transactions
- Perform detailed industry and company research, synthesising information from multiple sources
- Undertake transaction analysis, including viability assessments and structuring considerations
- Prepare and review materials for due diligence, internal approvals, and credit processes
- Draft marketing and transaction documentation, including presentations and analysis materials
- Interact directly with clients and external advisors (legal, financial, and other co-advisors) at an appropriate level
- Maintain high quality standards across all deliverables and execution processes
- Ensure adherence to internal corporate policies, compliance procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Support internal team matters where required, including compliance, training, and operational coordination
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a leading university with a strong academic record (or equivalent experience)
- 35 years of relevant experience within Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or M&A Advisory
- Experience within a top-tier investment bank, reputable boutique, or Big Four M&A / Transaction Advisory team
- Demonstrated understanding of M&A products and services, including transaction structuring, valuation, fairness opinions, capital increases, IPOs, and privatisations
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, including integrated financial statements, DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and LBO models
- Ability to conduct complex financial analysis with a high degree of autonomy
- Solid understanding of financial markets and transaction processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience using investment banking databases such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Dealogic is advantageous
- Fluent in English; an additional European language is beneficial
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
- Strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively in a structured environment
