Job Description

Company: Robotic Imaging – FZCO

Location: IFZA Business Park, Dubai Digital Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis

Reports to: QA/QC Lead

Contract: Full-time, fixed-term (2 years), renewable

Salary: AED 12,000 – 15,000 gross per month, based on experience

Purpose of the Role

You will be the mechanical and electrical brain behind our US project deliverables. Our field teams capture buildings through laser scanning and photography; you turn that raw survey data into defensible load calculations, equipment schedules, and engineering reports that US clients can act on.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform heating and cooling load calculations for existing US commercial and residential buildings using survey data, drawings, and photographs.
  2. Perform electrical load calculations, including panel schedules, demand load summaries, and available capacity assessments.
  3. Read and interpret site survey photographs to identify and extract data from electrical panels, panelboard schedules, breakers, disconnects, transformers, and nameplate data on mechanical equipment.
  4. Identify and classify mechanical and electrical equipment from photographs — RTUs, AHUs, chillers, boilers, VAV boxes, pumps, switchgear, panelboards — and record make, model, capacity, voltage, phase, and condition.
  5. Build equipment inventories and asset schedules from survey data, flagging gaps or ambiguities for field verification.
  6. Apply US codes and standards to all calculations and outputs, including ASHRAE 90.1 and 62.1, the International Energy Conservation Code, and the National Electrical Code.
  7. Prepare clear, well-structured engineering reports, narratives, and calculation summaries for delivery to US-based clients.
  8. Coordinate with BIM coordinators and modellers in the UAE, India, and Pakistan to ensure M&E data is correctly reflected in project models and deliverables.
  9. Review deliverables for technical accuracy before they leave the studio and raise discrepancies early.
  10. Contribute to standard templates, calculation workflows, and checklists that improve consistency across projects.
  11. Work with the team to test and adopt new software and AI-assisted tools that speed up load analysis and data extraction.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services / MEP Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in MEP design, building services, or energy analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform heating and cooling load calculations and electrical load calculations independently.
  • Working knowledge of US codes and standards, particularly ASHRAE, IECC, and the NEC. Candidates without direct US experience will be considered if they can show strong code fluency and a clear ability to learn a new code framework quickly.
  • Confident reading and interpreting MEP drawings, single-line diagrams, and panel schedules.
  • Ability to work from photographs and incomplete information, and to make reasoned engineering assumptions and document them.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with proven report-writing ability.
  • High comfort level with software. You pick up new tools quickly and are not waiting to be trained on everything.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Revit MEP or other 3D modelling software.
  • Familiarity with load calculation software such as Trace 700, HAP, IES VE, or Manual J tools.
  • Exposure to point cloud data or reality capture workflows.
  • Experience working with or delivering to US-based clients.

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday, eight hours per day, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. Some overlap with US time zones may be required from time to time.

What We Offer

  • Medical insurance and UAE employment visa
  • 30 calendar days annual leave
  • Annual air ticket allowance
  • Direct exposure to US commercial projects and a fast-growing delivery operation
