Machine Design Engineer

We're looking for a Junior Machine Designer to join our team and support the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems, working closely with senior engineers to build hands-on experience in precision design and manufacturability.

What You'll Do

Support the design and development of machines, mechanisms, and assemblies under the guidance of senior engineers.

Assist with basic stress, kinematics, and load calculations to support design decisions.

Prepare CAD models, assemblies, technical drawings, BOMs, and work instructions in compliance with ISO/ASME standards.

Learn and apply GD&T principles for tolerance control and dimensional accuracy.

Support the integration of design features for sheet metal, weldments, castings, forgings, and additive manufacturing (3D printing).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, controls, and manufacturing) under senior engineer direction.

Assist in prototyping, testing, and design validation activities.

Maintain documentation, version control, and revisions using PLM/ERP systems.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.

2 to 3 years of experience in machine design, mechanical systems, or industrial equipment.

Preferred: hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes or prototyping.

Technical Skills:

Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor (parts, assemblies, drawings) and/or AutoCAD Mechanical; familiarity with Vault is a plus.

Basic understanding of FEA concepts; exposure to simulation tools is an advantage.

Awareness of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.

Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ISO, ASME) is a plus.

Bonus: exposure to VB.NET, macros, or design automation tools.

Administrative & Project Skills:

Good organizational and time management skills.

Clear documentation habits and willingness to follow version control practices.

Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Language Skills:

Fluent English, able to read, write, and communicate technical content clearly.
