Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Machining Supervisor to join our Joinery Factory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising daily machining operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, and safe operation of CNC and conventional woodworking machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily machining activities in the joinery factory
- Manage CNC machines, panel saws, edge banding, routers, and conventional woodworking machines
- Ensure production targets are met as per drawings and schedules
- Read and interpret shop drawings, cutting lists, and production plans
- Monitor quality of machined components to meet project and design specifications
- Train, guide, and evaluate machinists and operators
- Ensure proper machine maintenance and coordinate with maintenance teams
- Enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards in the workshop
- Control material usage and minimize waste
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, and Quality teams
Requirements:
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Wood Technology, Mechanical, or related field
- Minimum 58 year's experience in a joinery factory, with at least 23 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining and woodworking processes
- Ability to lead teams and manage production deadlines
- Good understanding of quality control and safety standards
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in high-end joinery or fit-out projects
- Knowledge of AutoCAD drawings and CNC programming (advantage)
- Experience working in GCC joinery factories is a plus
