Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Machining Workshop Engineer at TUBE, located in 10th of Ramadan. The core responsibilities include overseeing workshop operations, managing maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment, and conducting routine inspections to ensure machinery functionality and safety. The role also involves coordinating and supervising team activities, implementing training programs, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily machining workshop operations (CNC & conventional machines).
- Plan and schedule machining jobs according to production priorities.
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
- Monitor machine performance, tooling usage, and material consumption.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, 5S, and housekeeping standards.
- Support continuous improvement, cost reduction, and productivity initiatives.
- Review and approve machining process sheets and setup plans.
- Train and guide machinists and technicians to enhance skills and performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 37 years of experience in machining workshop operations.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machines (Turning & Milling) and conventional machines.
- Good understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Familiarity with quality standards and inspection methods.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
