Job Description:
Must-Have
- Strong experience in COBOL programming on IBM Mainframe (z/OS)
- Hands-on with Assembler (IBM mainframe) – ability to read, analyse, and debug
- Good exposure to DB2 (SQL, embedded SQL in COBOL)
- Familiarity with migration projects for one or more customers
- Experience of working in Production support
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams on complex project with good oral and written communication
- Knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language) for batch execution and debugging
- Experience with file handling (VSAM, flat files, sequential files)
Good-to-Have
- Good to have IDMS experience - IDMS concepts (schemas, subschemas, DML commands)
- Should be well versed with Agile S/W development & delivery life cycle
- Excellent analytic, problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to thrive in a high-performance team
- Flexible and adaptable to changes during migration phases
- Team player, working closely with QA, Customer and IBM teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate technical information in a clear and succinct manner
- Experience of working and interacting with a UK/US client
