We are looking for a talented Maintenance Assistant Engineer – Electrical to join our growing manufacturing team and contribute to operational excellence.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Assistant Engineer – Electrical, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of factory machinery and electrical systems. You will lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities while supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximize equipment uptime and manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on factory machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, drive, motor, and automation system faults.
- Maintain and improve the performance of press machines, CNC machines, laser cutting machines, drilling machines, tube mills, and slitting lines.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new production equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to reduce recurring failures.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to minimize downtime.
- Supervise maintenance technicians and external contractors during maintenance activities.
- Manage spare parts inventory and provide technical coordination with OEMs and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), risk assessments, TPM, and 5S initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, reports, and equipment history.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with:, Press Machines, CNC Machines, Laser Cutting Machines, Drilling Machines, Tube Mill & Slitting Lines
- Strong knowledge of: PLCs & Industrial Automation, VFDs, Motors & Drives, Electrical Control Panels, Sensors & Instrumentation, Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, CMMS Maintenance Systems
- Good knowledge of OSHA, ISO, and industrial safety standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency maintenance when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the solar, renewable energy, heavy manufacturing, or industrial production sectors.
- Strong experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement.
- Knowledge of energy optimization and automation upgrades.
