Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Group Management System Procedures & World Wide standards.
- Identify and document any rig improvements and/or best practices and ensure all information is disseminated via the corporate maintenance function.
- Review the efficiency of the Client maintenance management system.Make recommendations for improvements to the system & ensure, using gap analysis, that standardisation of maintenance across the assets is achieved.
- Prepare and ensure the implementation of Planned Maintenance Routines for all new and upgraded equipment within relevant
- Ensure, through rolling review, Planned Maintenance Routines are in accordance with manufacturer, certifying authority, Group and client standards/ recommendations.
- Day-to-day control, monitoring and co-ordination ,ensuring that they progress to closure within designated timescale.
- Be a focal point for the implementation and upkeep of the maintenance management system.
- Inclusion in the Major Operational Failure (MOF) process.
- Conduct periodic rig project / maintenance visits as required.
- Ensure actions are addressed and closed out within designated timescales.
- Assist in control of Well Control Equipment within Business Unit
- Support for general maintenance requests
- Provide assistance to rig maintenance staff in resolving deficiencies identified during regulatory/statutory body inspections and/or Group/Client audits and liaise with support functions to ensure effective and timely solutions.
- Assist in both audit & inspection functions on the offshore units to ensure the continued effectiveness of the Safety Management Systems.
- Conduct technical appraisals and reviewing studies on rig related equipment and systems, within their discipline area, to determine safety, operational and cost impacts of utilisation within the drilling fleet.
- Carry out equipment trending or report analysis
- Review and set stock level of essential spares within Materials Management System.
Educational Background:
Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
