Hiring a Qualified - Maintenance Engineer
A maintenance engineer is a professional responsible for keeping machines, equipment, and facilities in good working conditions by preventing breakdowns, fixing faults, and improving reliability.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Guide the maintenance work and safe work of team by reviewing the blind list, isolations, by providing safe access and best industrial practice whenever required.
- Communicate with process engineers and reliability engineer for any difficulties. Reviewing and approving the task list for any PM or making any appropriate changes.
- Communicate with Planner for BOM and ensure the spares are linked with correct equipment tags.
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, or electronic faults with team. Providing the best guidance or suggesting the forward path in case team demands assistance.
- Recommending safety standards and regulations are followed
- Reducing downtime and maintenance costs
- Keeping maintenance records and reports
- Focal point of communication for CLIENT technical team. Assisting the CLIENT Engineering team as well as communicating for any expectational support if required.
- Analyze equipment failures and implement root cause analysis
- Ensure availability and reliability of critical assets. Ensure equipment classified with criticality A, B, C.
- Communicating with OEM Vendor for spare parts and securing the CRPO with the help of CLIENT representative. Keeping the records. (Aligning with DC/9COM/9CAT/SES procedure)
- Supporting CLIENT for any RCA/ FRACAS/DN report by generating the failure reports and providing the recommendations. Ensuring all Engineering recommendations are obtained and properly implemented.
- Maintaining the failure history of equipment.
- Supporting the planner for spare part issues. List down the required material with the help of planner for major overhauling.
- Review the task list and approve or make any changes/revision.
- Reviewing the JSA/HAZARDS associated with critical jobs or any inspection report submitted by VENDOR.
- Implement continuous improvement and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices.
- Initiating for upgrade/ MOC for approval
- Preparing the JSA for any critical activities with the help of supervisors.
- Supporting planners to identify critical spares and securing it for field execution.
- Assisting to improve and record MTTR/MTBF KPI.
