About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Maintenance Manager to take ownership of the maintenance and engineering requirements of an established high-volume Personal Care manufacturing facility in Egypt.
This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring high levels of equipment reliability, availability and operational efficiency across production equipment and plant infrastructure.
The successful candidate will work closely with Production and Operations teams and lead a small maintenance team, supported by external technical resources and equipment specialists where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day maintenance activities across the manufacturing facility.
- Ensure maximum availability, reliability and performance of production equipment and plant utilities.
- Develop and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical and equipment-related breakdowns.
- Minimise unplanned downtime through effective preventive maintenance and structured root-cause analysis.
- Work closely with Production to prioritise maintenance activities while minimising disruption to manufacturing schedules.
- Monitor and maintain equipment maintenance schedules, technical records, documentation and service history.
- Track key maintenance KPIs including equipment uptime, breakdown frequency, MTTR, MTBF and maintenance costs.
- Identify recurring equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with external service providers, contractors and equipment OEMs.
- Manage relationships with multiple machinery and equipment suppliers/OEMs.
- Support the installation, commissioning, modification and improvement of production equipment.
- Ensure availability of critical spare parts and optimise spare-parts inventory.
- Support engineering projects, equipment upgrades and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with EHS, statutory, regulatory and company requirements.
- Maintain equipment documentation and ensure the facility remains audit-ready.
- Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, equipment performance and maintenance cost.
- Provide technical support to Production and Operations teams on equipment-related issues.
- Guide and supervise the maintenance team and external technical resources.

Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or a related Engineering discipline.
- 8–12+ years of relevant maintenance/engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Mandatory: Strong experience in high-volume Personal Care manufacturing.
- Candidates without relevant Personal Care manufacturing experience will not be considered.
- Hands-on experience with production machinery, packaging equipment and plant utilities.
- Strong exposure to both mechanical and electrical maintenance is preferred.
- Experience working with multiple machinery OEMs and external technical service providers.
- Strong knowledge of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance practices.
- Hands-on experience in breakdown analysis, RCA, MTBF/MTTR improvement and continuous improvement.
- Experience with automation/control systems and industrial equipment troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of industrial safety, EHS and maintenance compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-shift manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is preferred.
Ideal Candidate Background
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in Personal Care manufacturing maintenance, preferably within a high-volume facility with multiple production lines, packaging formats and equipment OEMs.
Relevant experience may include maintenance responsibility across personal care products, cosmetics, beauty and grooming, skin care, hair care, hygiene products or related Personal Care manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate should be a hands-on maintenance leader with strong technical depth across mechanical, electrical, utilities, production machinery, packaging and automation — rather than someone whose experience is limited to administrative maintenance management.
