Oversees all maintenance staff within the MRO facility, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational safety, manpower efficiency, and on-time delivery of aircraft. The role integrates technical oversight, workforce leadership, planning coordination, quality assurance, and customer interface to maintain high standards of airworthiness and operational reliability.
RESPONSABILITIES:
1. Maintenance operations oversight.
- Lead and supervise daily base maintenance activities.
- Arrange and balance the Maintenance roster as per Production forecast and projects.
- Team Leaders coordination and workload dimensioning by aircraft zones as per capacity.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Part-145, OEM instructions and MOE.
- Manage troubleshooting, defect rectification, and critical path control during checks.
- Coordinate with Flight Line team for aircraft handover/handback.
- Identify OVT needs and provide with justification to Base Maintenance Director.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Airworthiness.
- Ensure strict compliance with EASA/GACA regulations and internal quality standards.
- Support internal Quality audits and close findings with robust corrective actions.
3. Workforce Leadership & Competency Management
- Lead a team of technicians at different career levels, certify staff, mechanics and helpers.
- Plan manpower allocation, shift scheduling and workload balancing.
- Drive competency development supporting the OJTs and following promotions.
- Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to FOD, tool control and PPE standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Active AML under recognized ICAO (B1/B2, preferable C). Proficiency in English (C1).
- Professional background: 10Y experience as a certified aircraft maintenance technician, including last 2Y performing a leadership position as a Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Team Leader within a Base Maintenance environment.
Specific requirements:
- Proven leadership in high-pressure operational environments.
- Experience in heavy checks, modifications and multi-project context.
- Strong knowledge of Part-145, MOE, AMM, SRM, IPC, MEL and SMS/QMS principles.
- Deep technical knowledge on aircraft A330 (preferable A330MRTT).
