Maintenance Mechanical Engineer | FMCG Industry | 6th of October
Poder Industries is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join its team in the FMCG industry.
The role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of factory machinery and plant systems, while minimizing downtime through effective preventive and corrective maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive and routine maintenance programs for machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns involving pumps, gearboxes, rotating equipment, and other plant machinery.
- Utilize CMMS to manage work orders, asset history, maintenance records, and spare parts.
- Lead, supervise, train, and support maintenance technicians and external contractors.
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards and plant regulations.
- Coordinate spare parts requirements and support maintenance budget planning and cost control.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-management capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with CMMS or computerized maintenance systems is highly preferred.
