Job Description
Position : Maintenance Superintendent
Aggregate experience, also experience in leading a team / projects and in handling the maintenance of heavy machinery equipment like crane, hydraulics, centrifugal pumps, sheaves etc
Key Result Areas
· Directs and leads team in the overall installation, maintenance & servicing of all equipment & infrastructure, necessary for the continuity of operations and the safety of terminal personnel.
· Develops and maintains team schedule and program for operating efficiency in line with operational context, inclusive of manpower development, resource allocation, prioritisation and department
Budget :
· Develops plans and cost estimations for upgrading works and projects on the terminal.
· Establishes preventive maintenance and service programs, procedures, and record systems in order to audit the performance of the services
· Provides maintenance and cost advice on terminal facilities related to short and long term needs of the business
· Assures maintenance standards are compliant with necessary external agency/authority ordinances and regulations
· Drive for continuous safety performance for internal Team and Contractors
· Initiate cost saving efficiency to leverage maintenance
Key Performance Indicators :
· Maintenance budget is kept at lowest possible level whilst maintaining optimal operating efficiency
· Equipment quality and performance is at optimal level
· A motivated, well trained and productive team
· Reduction of maintenance backlog via computer maintenance system
· Safety performance of internal Team and Contractors
· Drive for cost saving initiatives per event through standardization
Decision Making :
· Assessment & deciding of necessary actions based on outcomes/trends as indicated in KPI monitoring
· Day to Day initiatives in order to maintain the targeted efficiency in terms of manpower utilization and reduction in repair cost
· Required optimization to maximize effects of maintenance regime within allotted maintenance budget.
