Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure within the Fit-Out Factory. The role will ensure reliable factory operations, minimize equipment downtime, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Equipment
- Supervise and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Oversee maintenance of woodworking, joinery, cutting, CNC, edge-banding, sanding, finishing, and other factory machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Ensure timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain records of equipment breakdowns, repairs, spare parts, and maintenance activities.
- Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for all factory equipment.
Factory Operations Support
- Coordinate with Production teams to plan maintenance activities without disrupting production schedules.
- Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns and production emergencies.
- Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend permanent corrective actions.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend replacement or upgrades where required.
- Coordinate with external service providers and specialized technicians for major repairs and servicing.
Facility Maintenance
- Oversee maintenance of factory facilities, including electrical systems, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, compressed air systems, and other utilities.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance requirements and potential risks.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of workshop and facility infrastructure.
Team Supervision
- Supervise maintenance technicians and assign daily maintenance activities.
- Provide technical guidance and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to maintenance procedures.
- Ensure technicians use appropriate tools, PPE, and safe working practices.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, safety procedures, and maintenance standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure proper lockout/tagout procedures are followed during maintenance.
- Maintain proper records of inspections, maintenance, and equipment certifications.
- Ensure machinery guards and safety devices are maintained in proper working condition.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a joinery, fit-out, furniture, woodworking, or manufacturing factory.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machines, woodworking machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance planning and breakdown troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of spare parts management and maintenance documentation.
- Good knowledge of workplace safety and maintenance best practices.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CMMS/ERP systems is an advantage.
