Position Description

Ma'aden Barrick Copper Company (MBCC) is seeking to recruit for Contract-based Employment under MBCC Contractor on site a Maintenance Technician join and grow the team.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Conduct regular inspections of laboratory and facility equipment to identify maintenance issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and general systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in laboratory and facility equipment.
  • Replace faulty components, including wiring, motors, switches, and mechanical parts

Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe and organized work environment
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain proper documentation for safety checks and repairs.
  • Implement safety protocols during maintenance work to prevent accidents.
  • Monitor the performance and maintenance of the instruments: MSA-OHS-F057Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedule

Operational Support:

  • Provide immediate support during equipment breakdowns to minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager to prioritize urgent repairs.
  • Maintain an inventory of essential tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and recommend improvements to enhance the reliability of laboratory and facility equipment. Stay updated on the latest advancements in maintenance techniques and systems.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and facility systems and troubleshooting techniques.

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Familiarity with maintaining laboratories and facility equipment is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in an industrial or laboratory setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment safely
