Maintenance Technician (Multi-skilled)

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

About The Role

The Maintenance Technician (Multi-skilled) is responsible for carrying out preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on building systems and equipment. The primary goal of this role is to diagnose faults, complete repairs safely, update maintenance records, and support the uninterrupted operation of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks across assigned properties and systems.
• Task Execution: Efficiently attend to daily work orders and maintenance tasks as assigned.
• System Troubleshooting: Diagnose faults and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• General Maintenance: Maintain and repair HVAC equipment, lighting networks, water systems, pumps, and motors.
• Carpentry & Civil repairs: Address minor maintenance for doors, locks, ceilings, and fixtures.
• Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to unexpected equipment breakdowns to restore service with minimal delay.
• Record Keeping: Update maintenance records, work-order logs, and asset databases accurately.
• Safety & Standards: Utilize tools properly and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Job Requirements

• Education: ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of active experience in Facilities Management or property maintenance operations.

Core Technical Skills

• Strong practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems and refrigeration basics.
• Demonstrated expertise in fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance processes.
• High level of safety awareness, including risk assessment and safety protocol execution.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• First-Time Fix Rate: Successfully resolving issues on the first attempt without recurring issues.
• Response & Resolution Times: Meeting or exceeding SLA times for urgent and reactive repair requests.
• PM Completion Rate: Achieving high completion percentages for scheduled preventive maintenance lists.
• Repeat Faults Reduction: Ensuring high-quality work to prevent the repetition of technical issues.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering strictly to safety standards with zero safety infractions during duties.
