JOB PURPOSE:

Plan, direct and manage the activities of the Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul Department involved in support Operations in meeting their production targets. The role reports to Management on all matters relating to the assembly, maintenance, and overhaul of assets operated by the Drilling Services Division. Controls the efficient and cost effective use of financial, human and other resources with respect to Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul Departmentu2019s expenditure. Oversees administration of external contacts please on behalf of the Department.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Plans, manages, directs and controls the activities of assigned personnel in the Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul Department in support of ADNOC Drilling and stakeholder expectations.u00A0 Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authority at the level established by management for the position.
  • Directs the activities of maintenance area to support production in meeting their operational activity.
  • Develops and manages departmental budget compliance and makes recommendations on workplace facility and tooling requirements.
  • Coordinates specifications and procurement of capital expenditures.
  • Plans, coordinates and directs all maintenance operations, up to and including installation of equipment, preventative maintenance and facility/equipment repair to support operations.
  • Ensures the availability of a competent technical workforce to conduct business.
  • Ensures systems are in place to define the competencies for all jobs, which may impact on maintenance activities, and to monitor the competency of jobholders to identify additional training and supervisory requirements.
  • Plans and participates in the ongoing training and development of assigned UAE national employees.u00A0 Includes assessing employees training and development needs directing the preparation of structured development/ familiarisation programs, monitoring and reporting on progress and counselling employees as required.
  • Monitors daily progress of jobs) projects and financial metrics within the Department.
  • Provides some technical guidance and work direction to workshop staff
  • Handles special projects, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 15 years broad experience in drilling operation, maintenance or engineering management and activities with at least 8 years at managerial level.
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Must be computer literate.
