The Manager – BaaS & Fintech Integrations is responsible for managing and supporting the lifecycle of Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) and Fintech partner integrations across Retail and Business Banking APIs. This includes Fintech partner onboarding, testing support, third party coordination, and post-go-live support and system maintenance.
The role is critical to ensuring secure and timely integration of third-party partners into the Bank's ecosystem, enabling new digital revenue streams through API-driven fintech partnerships.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate end-to-end technical onboarding of BaaS/Fintech partners including API documentation handoff, API functionality walkthrough, sandbox access, UAT and Production implementation.
- Facilitate and manage API testing and integration support for onboarding and servicing journeys such as KYC, Account, Cards, Payments, Financing, and Investments.
- Work closely with the API development and backend application teams to ensure partner API enablement and delivery of new APIs.
- Maintain and monitor partner onboarding trackers, test logs, issue escalations.
- Function as the first line of contact for resolving partner-side integration issues and support tickets during the implementation.
- Liaise with Testing, Compliance and Operations teams for testing and approvals of partner use cases and technical flows.
- Ensure partner integrations meet security, audit, and regulatory requirements before go-live.
- Coordinate post go-live support including support for API issues, monitor API performance and report the KPI.
- Manage partner SLAs and uptime expectations, incident response coordination with tech and vendor teams.
- Manage the API version control while releasing API features to partners in a controlled manner.
- Stay updated on BaaS and Fintech integration trends, technologies, and UAE regulatory frameworks.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8–10 years experience in banking or fintech, preferably with functional exposure to Retail and Business Banking products.
- Prior experience in agile delivery teams or fintech collaboration would be a plus.
- Hands-on experience with API-based integrations, API testing tools (Postman), and REST/JSON.
- Familiarity with UAE Fintech and regulatory landscape (CBUAE, AEP, UAEPASS, EFR, Open Finance etc) is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple partner onboarding projects in parallel.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
