Job Description

Role Summary:

The aim of this role is to support the Financial Planning and Analysis function with a strong focus on expense monitoring and cost management across the organisation.

The role will contribute to the monitoring of expenses across countries, departments and cost centres, ensuring alignment with budgets and identifying key drivers of variances. The position will also support the development of expense dashboards, reporting tools and financial analysis to enhance visibility on cost performance and support management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyse expenses across the Group, departments and cost centres, ensuring alignment, with approved budgets
  • Support the preparation and consolidation of expense budgets and forecasts at group and country level
  • Perform variance analysis (budget vs. actuals) and identify key drivers of cost deviations
  • Prepare expense reporting and analysis for management, including monthly and quarterly cost performance reviews
  • Develop and maintain expense dashboards and performance tracking tools to improve visibility on cost evolution
  • Support the consolidation of expense data within planning tools and ensure consistency of cost allocation across entities
  • Provide insights on cost efficiency opportunities and support initiatives aimed at improving expense management
  • Contribute to the definition, documentation and implementation of expense allocation methodologies and policies, ensuring alignment with internal governance frameworks, including IFRS17 principles

Knowledge/ Skills/ Competencies Required:

  • Bachelor s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CFA is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics and automation tools (e.g., Excel, financial planning software, Power BI).
  • Proven experience (6+ years) in expense and budget monitoring (Opex/Capex)
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques, budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to engage with department heads and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Knowledge of insurance industry dynamics and regulatory requirements is desirable
