Job Description

To lead the Digitalization & Control Center function for the Equipment Department, ensuring both digital transformation and real-time operational monitoring across the fleet. The role is responsible for managing a 24/7 Control Center team that monitors equipment, drivers, and operators through GPS, dashcam, telematics, and live dashboard systems, while also driving automation, system integration, and data-based decision support across equipment operations.

  1. Principal Accountabilities: (the 20 main areas of responsibility)

Process Automation & Coordination

Identify workflows suitable for automation across hire/off-hire, maintenance requests, and cost tracking.Prepare business requirement documents and process maps for IT alignment. Coordinate with IT, Oracle admins, and telematics vendors for development and deployment.Ensure workflows comply with ISO, DOA, and approval hierarchies.Oversee end-to-end digital alignment of equipment lifecycle data. System Integration & Remote Management

Lead integration of telematics, fuel monitoring, and remote fleet management systems with Oracle ADS.Ensure real-time synchronization between ERP, GPS dashboards, and Power BI analytics. Consolidate digital platforms for unified reporting on productivity, idle time, and fuel efficiency. Coordinate API-based data exchange and validation with IT teams. Equipment Alignment & Data Structuring

Define and maintain equipment family groupings (Transport, Road, Haulage, Lifting, Support).Align dashboards and KPIs to equipment families for accurate reporting. Collaborate with Planning and Cost Control for standardized rate and utilization data. Data Analytics & Reporting

Develop dashboards for availability, downtime, maintenance backlog, and cost efficiency. Integrate fuel and telematics data for transparent consumption tracking. Define business rules and validation logic for KPIs like cost/hour and idle ratio. Change Management & Capacity Building

Conduct digital awareness sessions and user training for automated workflows. Provide first-level functional support before escalation to IT.Prepare SOPs and guides to promote digital adoption. Additional Principal Accountabilities – Control Center Operations

19. Lead and manage the 24/7 Digitalization & Control Center operations, ensuring continuous monitoring of fleet movement, equipment activity, and operator behavior.

20. Supervise Control Center staff working in shifts to provide round-the-clock operational oversight and incident escalation.

21. Monitor drivers and operators through integrated GPS, dashcam, telematics, and other surveillance systems to ensure safety, discipline, and operational compliance.

22. Ensure effective use of large-screen monitoring systems and live dashboards for real-time visibility of fleet activity, route adherence, idle time, violations, and equipment utilization.

23. Detect and escalate unsafe driving, misuse of equipment, route deviations, excessive idling, unauthorized movement, and behavioral violations based on live monitoring feeds.

24. Coordinate with Operations, HSE, Maintenance, and project teams for timely response to incidents, alarms, breakdowns, and field exceptions identified by the Control Center.

25. Maintain event logs, incident reports, escalation records, and monitoring summaries for management review and audit purposes.

26. Develop control room SOPs, escalation protocols, and shift handover procedures to ensure uninterrupted monitoring and governance.

27. Ensure monitoring systems support operational efficiency, theft prevention, safety improvement, and accountability of field operators and drivers.

28. Track and report control-center-based KPIs such as violations detected, response time, idle alerts, route deviations, safety incidents, and operator compliance trends.
