JOB OBJECTIVE:
To provide engineering, construction management support related to the electrical & Instrumentation engineering discipline.
Description
Technical Proposal/Feasibility Study
- Provide electrical engineering support to Review/Perform Technical Feasibility study for brown filed/green field projects.
- Prepare technical proposal as may be required for new projects
Technical Support for operating assets:
- Review/Perform Engineering study for issues related to operation/performance of Companies operating assets & recommend solutions.
- Review of Management of Change Requests (MOC) as per approved procedure
Engineering Review during Project Execution.
- Review/approve engineering submittals made by Contractors during project execution & ensure compliance to companies technical performance.
- Resolve technical issues that may arise during project execution
Asset Document Management
- Establish & manage process to maintain accurate & up to date technical information (Master As Built) of operating assets.
- Make effective use of Companies Document Management System to store/retrieve Master-As Built Drawings
Tender Process Management:
- Prepare technical tender package for new tenders
- Obtain feedback from relevant stakeholders (O&M, Customer, HSE etc) on technical tender package & incorporate changes as may be required.
- Perform review of technical submissions by bidders
- Ensure compliance to technical bids to Companies Technical Specifications.
- Review deviation requests as per Companies internal process
Value Engineering:
- Continuously look out for value engineering options & propose cost effective alternatives in design, selection of equipment/material, improving efficiency etc & revise Companies Technical Specification/vendor lists as may be applicable
- Manage relationship with suppliers of major equipment (chillers, pumps etc)
Liaising with Authorities/Government Entities
- Liaise with local authorities like ADDC/DEWA etc to obtain utility (power, water etc.) for new/expansion projects
A. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
B. Minimum Experience:
- 8 years of relevant experience in Design & Execution of material works.
- Experience in managing third party contractors in the execution of projects.
- Knowledge in application of specific engineering software related to Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
- Engineering principles.
