Manager – Finance & Audit (Big 4 Background)

Job Summary

Our client, a leading player in the Aviation, Oil & Gas, and Construction sectors, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager for their headquarters in Abu Dhabi. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will oversee financial operations, ensure robust financial planning, reporting, and compliance, and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership to drive organizational growth and sustainability.

Job Responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support organizational objectives.

• Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models for executive decision-making.

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, cash flow, and treasury management.

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.

• Lead and coordinate internal and external audit processes, ensuring audit readiness, timely closure of audit findings, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

• Strengthen internal controls, risk management frameworks, and governance practices across financial operations.

• Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis with recommendations for corrective actions.

• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

• Oversee payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger functions while maintaining strong internal controls.

• Provide financial insights to support business decisions, investments, and cost optimization.

• Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members to ensure high performance.

Key Skills and Qualifications required:

• Must have Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration. Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration (MBA) is strongly preferred.

• Must have professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CFA.

• Must have 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3-4 years in a managerial role.

• Strong experience in audit (internal and/or external), including managing audits, liaising with auditors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting standards.

• Prior experience with Big 4 or reputable audit firms will be considered a strong advantage.

• Extensive experience in industries such as aviation, oil & gas, or construction is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in financial systems and ERPs, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), along with advanced Excel skills.
