Role overview
The Manager Financial Inventory Control & Accounting will oversee financial control, valuation, and reporting of inventory across the Group.
The role is responsible for accurate inventory records, effective reconciliation and reporting, strong internal controls, and protection of inventory balance integrity.
The position works closely with Finance and operational teams to identify variances and improve inventory accuracy.

The Manager Financial Inventory Control & Accounting will oversee financial control, valuation, and reporting of inventory across the Group.
The role is responsible for accurate inventory records, effective reconciliation and reporting, strong internal controls, and protection of inventory balance integrity.
The position works closely with Finance and operational teams to identify variances and improve inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory recording, classification, valuation, financial control, and reconciliation in the accounting system.
- Manage reconciliations between physical counts, inventory records, and the general ledger, investigating variances.
- Ensure provisions, write-offs, and adjustments comply with accounting standards and Group policies.
- Review transactions for discrepancies, unusual variances, obsolete or slow-moving inventory, and financial risks.
- Lead inventory audits and physical verification with Finance, auditors, and relevant business teams.
- Strengthen controls for inventory recording, adjustments, transfers, and reconciliation.
- Prepare reports covering inventory balances, variances, ageing, provisions, and financial exposure.
- Support ERP and finance-system improvements for inventory accounting, reporting, and data integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- ACCA, CPA, CMA, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in inventory accounting, financial control, inventory reconciliation, or related finance functions is required.
- Prior managerial experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of inventory valuation, provisions, write-offs, reconciliations, and financial reporting under accounting standards is required.
- Experience with internal financial controls, inventory audits, and physical verification exercises is required.
- Strong ERP experience is required; SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, or similar systems are preferred.
