Key Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Accounting, Control, Reporting & Audit
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, timeliness, and quality of all general ledger accounting and financial transactions in line with applicable accounting standards.
- Coordinate and continually improve monthly and annual closing processes (accruals, revenue recognition, expense reporting, reconciliations).
- Serve as custodian of GL accounts, ensuring strong financial controllership and compliance.
- Manage statutory and other audits, ensuring compliance and successful closure.
- Prepare/review GL transactions, journal entries, and supporting documentation prepared by outsourced teams.
- Resolve general ledger anomalies promptly.
- Prepare/review financial statements for group entities and perform consolidation.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Ensure effective risk management framework and timely reconciliation processes.
- Prepare/review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring gaps or variances are resolved within 90 days.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of ledger balances.
Team Coordination
- Collaborate with finance functions including Planning & Budgeting, AP, AR, Treasury, Real Estate, VAT & Corporate Tax, Payroll, Policies & Procedures, and Fixed Assets.
- Support Planning & Budgeting with accounting-related queries.
- Guide outsourced teams (EY or similar) to meet assigned deliverables.
- Monitor service levels, SLAs, KPIs, and performance of outsourcing partners.
- Ensure outsourced team activities comply with internal control policies.
Process Improvement, Internal Controls & Audits
- Develop, manage, and enhance policies, procedures, and internal control compliance.
- Address and close internal audit observations.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen process capability and internal controls.
- Provide technical accounting solutions for new or complex transactions.
- Lead preparation and coordination for internal, external, and government audits.
- Participate in continuous improvement of GL processes and policies.
Customer Centricity
- Ensure high customer satisfaction by proactively addressing business unit concerns.
- Lead initiatives to enhance Finance service delivery.
- Engage with business units to gather feedback and improve service quality.
Operating Environment
- Office-based

Formal Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Experience in financial statement preparation and consolidation (advanced tools preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and ERP systems
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Updated knowledge of IFRS and relevant regulations
