Reporting to: Director Internal Audit

Role location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose: Execute and ensure the delivery of Internal Audit (IA) assurance and advisory services within the EWCF. This includes managing annual planning, engagement execution and follow-up activities for a portfolio or engagements.

Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders from across the business and provide insights that add value and make a positive difference.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a risk-based annual audit plan, aligned with organizational priorities and approved by the Audit, Risk, & Compliance Committee (ARCC).
  • Lead and perform internal audit engagements (financial, operational, compliance, IT, and performance audits) end-to-end- including scoping, fieldwork, testing, and reporting.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, governance processes, and risk management practices across all functions.
  • Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies, and non-compliance issues, and propose actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and impactful audit reports with prioritized findings and recommendations.
  • Present audit outcomes to management and the Audit & Risk Committee, ensuring appropriate follow-up on remediation actions.
  • Monitor and track the implementation of agreed corrective actions and report progress regularly.
  • Support the continuous improvement of governance frameworks, policies, and internal control systems.
  • Work closely with the Legal, Procurement, and People & Culture teams to ensure adherence to internal policies and conflict-of-interest standards.
  • Collaborate with management to identify key operational and strategic risks.
  • Provide advisory support on process improvements, control enhancements, and system implementations.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Ensure audit processes follow international auditing standards such as IIA Global Internal Audit Standards.
  • Manage, mentor, and train junior audit staff or external consultants engaged in audit projects.
  • Continuously review audit methodologies and tools for efficiency and quality improvement.
  • Undertakes all relevant activities in line with the Function's policies and procedures, including the IA methodology and IA Delegation of Authority.

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications are preferred such as: CIA, CPA, CISA, or any related certifications.
  • 5+ years of experience in internal audit.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities


  • Proven track record of conducting complex audits and preparing management reports.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good knowledge of risk assessment frameworks and proven ability in leading risk assessments.
  • Proven ability in designing and delivering high-quality IA plans.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of process mapping, control identification, and assessment.
  • Good people management skills, including conflict management.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
