Job Purpose
Develop a comprehensive strategy for Enterprise Architecture & Integration for MATAR to enable business technology, digitalisation, and automation. Oversee the development and implementation of Enterprise Integration and Data Engineering capabilities to ensure seamless data flow across the organisation for tactical and strategic decision-making. Enhance reliability, reusability, standardisation, and reduce complexity, maintenance, and cost.
Strategic
- Define, propose and seek concurrence from senior MATAR stakeholders for the Enterprise Integration strategy and governance.
- Develop a 3-year road map and propose adequate 3-year rolling budgets by both business and IT to fulfil the agreed strategy.
- Research emerging technology trends; establish their applicability to MATAR; and study early adoption usecases in the aviation industry and lead crossfunctional ideation and incubation of such technologies.
- Strategically have an effective and professional working relationship with relevant technology solutions providers and partners to obtain the best for MATAR and seek opportunities for reducing costs, improving agility and enabling innovation.
Operational
- Develop and maintain integration standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and adherence to industry standards, governance and best practices.
- Ensure business demand for data integration is effectively managed by collaborating with stakeholders to identify and prioritize integration and data engineering needs.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams and vendors to ensure that integration solutions are designed and implemented in accordance with established standards and best practices.
- Architect and implement enterprise system integration solutions, including ESB and APIs.
- Design and develop data engineering solutions, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes, ensuring that they are scalable, reliable, and secure for all MATAR and other stakeholder systems, leveraging realtime acquisition of environmental/operational data through dayofops systems and sensors.
- Enable and support the business management to develop and seek approval for business case/CMC by providing reliable and optimal cost estimates and advising on technology and implementation risks.
- Foster a datadriven culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer service excellence within the IT organisation.
- Establish an architecture review team for MATAR to govern, oversee and review architecture and solution designs.
- Establish an operating model of a data integration and engineering centre of enablement.
- Own and ensure delivery of Data Engineering and Integration solutions, projects and services in a timely and costeffective manner, with compliance to IT project governance framework and standards.
- Ensure high availability of assigned IT systems through appropriate design and architecture and compliance with policies and standards.
- Ensure issues related to projects/programs/change initiatives are identified and corrective actions monitored until closure.
- Perform other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of Department.
Qualifications
- High School/Vocational/Diploma with minimum 9 years of jobrelated experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with minimum 8 years of jobrelated experience.
- Experience in designing, implementing and supporting largescale, highly available and distributed integration and data engineering solutions.
- Experience in enterprise architecture and integration of IT systems in fastpaced environments.
- Experience working with aviation domain standards (IATA Type B, AIDX).
- Experience managing projects in medium to large organisations.
Preferred Experience
- Senior resource managing a team of IT professionals.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture standards (TOGAF, Zachman).
- Certifications: PMP, ITIL, Cloud Technologies.
- Airport industry experience.
