This role is responsible for servicing corporate clients, designing and administering group insurance programs (e.g., medical, life, disability), coordinating with insurers, and ensuring operational excellence. The Manager assists the Head of Department in achieving revenue targets, maintaining client satisfaction, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of corporate clients for group health, life, disability, and other employee benefit schemes.

Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.

Conduct client meetings, renewal presentations, and benefit reviews.

Address client inquiries, claims issues, and service escalations promptly.

Support new client onboarding and benefit implementation.

Assist in achieving departmental revenue and growth targets.

Prepare proposals, quotations, and benefit comparisons.

Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts.

Support tender submissions and participate in prospect meetings.

Maintain high client retention through proactive service and strategic advisory.

Liaise with insurance companies to negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage.

Monitor insurer performance and service level agreements (SLAs).

Coordinate with third-party administrators (TPAs) and service providers.

Ensure timely renewal processing and documentation.

Oversee policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and documentation accuracy.

Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and internal brokerage policies.

Maintain accurate records in CRM and policy management systems.

Assist in preparing compliance and audit reports.

Monitor claims performance and loss ratios.

Support clients with complex claims cases and escalations.

Analyze claims data to provide recommendations for cost control.

Coordinate wellness initiatives and employee communication sessions.

Supervise executives or account handlers.

Provide training and guidance on employee benefits products.

Support the HOD in strategic planning and departmental initiatives.

Act as department lead in the HOD's absence.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or related field.

Professional insurance certifications (e.g., ACII, ANZIIF, or equivalent) preferred.

12-15 years of experience in employee benefits insurance, preferably within a brokerage.

Strong knowledge of group medical, life, disability, and pension products.

Experience handling corporate clients and renewals.

Skills & Competencies
