KEY ACTIVITIES
Overview
This role supports the organization's thought leadership, brand positioning, media visibility, and stakeholder engagement through compelling storytelling and clear, persuasive writing. The writer must be highly adaptable - able to shift tone, depth, and structure depending on the platform and audience.
This is not a generic content role. It requires intellectual curiosity, strong synthesis skills, editorial discipline, and the discretion to understand what matters to different audiences and how to frame it accordingly. Candidates with a background in journalism, science writing, or specialized technology writing in English will be particularly well suited.
Functional Activities
Multi-Platform Content Development
- Develop and deliver content across a range of platforms, including:
- Press announcements and media materials (as required)
- Executive speeches and leadership opinion pieces (as required)
- Long-form articles for Online
- Business case studies and impact narratives
- Product catalogues or briefings
- Outcome/ White papers
- Website copy
- Newsletters
- Adaptation of content for social media
- Ensure all content aligns with corporate messaging pillars while adapting tone and depth to suit the intended audience and platform.
Editorial Governance & Quality Assurance
- Maintain high editorial standards across all written outputs.
- Ensure consistency in tone, terminology, and brand voice.
- Fact-check and verify content in collaboration with subject-matter experts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with research centers, strategy teams, editorial team, media relations, and leadership.
- Participate in campaign ideation sessions and content planning meetings.
- Contribute to quarterly content calendars aligned with corporate priorities.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Necessary Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in editorial writing, corporate communications, journalism, or thought leadership content development.
- Journalism, science and advanced technology fields will be favored.
- Experience writing across multiple formats and platforms.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating adaptability in tone and audience targeting.
- Experience working with senior leadership and subject-matter experts.
- Ability to synthesize complex technical or research-driven material into compelling narratives.
- Strong research capability and intellectual curiosity.
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
Education and Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English Literature, Political Science, Business, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in content strategy, digital publishing, or storytelling are advantageous.
