Manager Navigational Services

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for overseeing the monitoring and maintenance of navigational aids within Dubai waters. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the monitoring and maintenance of navigational aids within Dubai waters, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.

• Manage critical safety information to promptly issue navigational warnings.

• Liaise with Hydrographic Offices, including the UK Office, to provide essential nautical information.

• Update nautical charts and publications, supporting both commercial and leisure maritime activities.

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and safety of navigational services.

• Provide leadership and guidance to the Navigational Services team, ensuring high performance and compliance with regulations.

• Prepare and present reports on navigational activities and incidents to senior management.

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance navigational services.

• Ensure the maintenance and operational readiness of navigational aids and equipment.

• Address and resolve any issues related to navigational aids and services.

• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless navigational operations.

• Respond promptly to any maritime casualty or incident reported within navigational Operations area of control, and to support the investigation of such casualties or incidents, ensuring thorough analysis to determine root causes, identify lessons learned and enforce corrective action and ensure implementation of preventive measures.

Required Qualification:

• 8 years in navigational services or a related area.
• Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies, Education, or a related field.
• Experience working in areas of maritime regulations and navigational systems
• Certificate from any IMO-approved organization.
