Responsible for reviewing, developing and approving the overall treatment process design, including:
- Review of Employer's Requirements, Technical Specifications, Contract documents and Design Basis.
- Establishment and review of the Process Design Basis (PDB).
- Development/review of:
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
- Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Mass Balance
- Water Balance
- Hydraulic Profile
- Chemical Balance
- Process calculations
- Equipment sizing calculations
- Tank sizing
- Pump sizing and duty calculations
- Membrane system calculations
- Chemical dosing calculations
- Sludge generation calculations
- Air requirement calculations
- Energy consumption calculations
- Define process design criteria for each treatment unit.
- Review process guarantees and performance requirements.
- Ensure process design is consistent with applicable standards and regulations.
