THE ROLE:
As the System Level Test (SLT) Engineering Manager, you will lead an engineering team responsible for SLT test content, test program development, software infrastructure, automation, and debug capabilities for APU products. This role requires strong technical leadership, effective people management, and the ability to drive cross-functional execution across Test Engineering, Product Engineering, Platform, Diagnostics, Operations, and manufacturing teams.
The successful candidate will be accountable for developing a high-performing SLT Test Engineering team, delivering production-ready test solutions, and improving test program quality, software scalability, debug effectiveness, and execution discipline. The ideal candidate will bring a software-oriented test engineering background, proven engineering leadership experience, and the ability to lead AI-enabled transformation initiatives that improve productivity, automation, data analysis, knowledge reuse, and engineering decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and develop an SLT Test Engineering team responsible for test content definition, test program development, software infrastructure, automation, validation, debug, release readiness, and production support
- Define team priorities, execution plans, resource alignment, and delivery commitments across NPI, production ramp, and sustaining phases
- Drive delivery of scalable SLT test content, test programs, test flows, automation frameworks, software tools, debug utilities, and release packages
- Provide technical direction for SLT test content strategy, test architecture, software infrastructure, diagnostics integration, platform readiness, debug methodology, and production deployment
- Partner with Product Engineering, Platform, Diagnostics, Design, Quality, Operations, manufacturing, and OSAT teams to align requirements, resolve issues, and ensure production readiness
- Establish engineering best practices for test content development, test program quality, code quality, configuration management, validation, debug documentation, and release governance
- Lead structured debug for complex SLT issues, including test content failures, test program defects, platform interactions, software defects, infrastructure gaps, yield excursions, and production readiness risks
- Use yield, failure pareto, test time, coverage, quality, and debug trend data to guide engineering decisions, prioritization, risk assessment, and continuous improvement
- Champion AI transformation initiatives that improve automation, test development productivity, debug efficiency, knowledge management, and data-driven decision-making within SLT Test Engineering
- Build team capability, strengthen technical depth, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence
- Identify execution risks early, communicate status clearly, manage escalations, and drive closure when schedule, quality, cost, or production readiness is at risk
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Management or senior technical leadership experience in System Level Test, ATE Test Engineering, Product Engineering, silicon validation, manufacturing test, or a related semiconductor engineering function
- Experience leading engineering teams responsible for test content definition, test program development, software infrastructure, automation, validation, debug, release readiness, and production support
- Strong software background applied to test engineering, including test content architecture, test program architecture, scripting, automation frameworks, software tooling, data pipelines, and debug infrastructure
- Hands-on understanding of SLT test content, test flows, diagnostics, platform bring-up, OS/BIOS/firmware interactions, structured debug, release readiness, and high-volume manufacturing support
- Experience improving software quality, code review discipline, configuration management, validation methodology, documentation practices, and scalable engineering workflows
- Experience applying AI, machine learning, data analytics, or intelligent automation to improve engineering productivity, debug efficiency, test coverage, quality, or decision-making
- Strong data-driven problem-solving skills, with experience using yield, test time, failure pareto, coverage, quality, and production data to guide decisions and prioritize improvements
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Platform, Diagnostics, Design, Quality, Operations, manufacturing, and OSAT partners
- Strong people leadership skills and have led teams , including coaching, performance management, talent development, prioritization, communication, and building high-performing engineering teams
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable technical discipline
