Job Purpose
The role is responsible for supporting the development of innovative travel products and strategic partnerships, ensuring alignment with market demands and company goals. This role involves managing supplier relationships, optimizing product offerings, and contributing to enhancing customer satisfaction and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Support the creation and execution of a product strategy aligned with DW Travel's goals, focusing on launching and optimizing innovative products based on market feedback to improve customer satisfaction.
- Identify and develop new products and refine existing ones to meet evolving customer needs, keeping the portfolio innovative and responsive to market demands.
- Conduct competitor analysis to benchmark DW Travel's products against industry standards and identify potential areas for innovation and improvement.
- Manage the product lifecycle, including planning, development, launch, and post-launch evaluation to optimize product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new products and services, staying ahead of industry trends and customer demands.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, securing favourable terms and ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality travel services.
- Manage negotiations and secure contracts with travel service providers and partners, supporting the development and delivery of travel products.
- Develop product documentation and collateral, including product descriptions, training materials, and customer support resources.
- Prepare detailed reports on product performance, supplier relationships, and market trends, providing insights to management for decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of product initiatives, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Travel and Tourism, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in product management, strategic partnerships, or a related role within the travel and tourism industry.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing product portfolios, building and maintaining key supplier relationships, and driving product initiatives from concept through to launch. Understanding of the travel and tourism sector, including customer preferences and industry trends.
