On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in early 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.
About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a
Manager Retail Accounting to join the resort's
Finance team.
Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations for retail stores, including inventory, accounts receivable, revenue, and expense tracking
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Oversee reconciliation of inventory transactions, cost of goods sold, vendor billing discrepancies and shrinkage across all retail locations
- Collaborate with store operations, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure financial data integrity
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the retail division
- Monitor compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and audit requirements
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for retail operations
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend cost-saving initiatives
- Coordinate with external auditors and internal audit teams during financial reviews
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in retail accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA preferred)
- Minimum 57 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within retail or consumer goods
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting, retail operations, and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA preferred)
- Minimum 57 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within retail or consumer goods
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting, retail operations, and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy
