Key responsibilities
Project Finance & Capital Structuring
- Lead and drive the financing of the division's greenfield and brownfield investments, in co-ordination with cross-functional and cross-border project teams, as well as external advisors and vendors where necessary
- Build, audit, and manage robust financial models for the above to support debt sizing, sculpting, covenant testing, distribution mechanics and upside/downside scenarios
- End-to-end project execution, including evaluation of project risks, bankability and returns, deal structuring, preparation of investment proposals for senior management approvals, due diligence, negotiation and documentation, and financial close
- Develop and manage relationships with debt market players, including commercial lenders, multilaterals and Export Credit Agencies, legal firms, and other advisors and consultants
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the competency of junior team members to strengthen the in-house project financing, deal structuring and financial modelling capabilities
Transaction Origination & Execution
- With support from senior colleagues, take the lead on day-to-day execution of M&A and JV transactions by project-managing the day-to-day activities and coordinating all parties involved
- Lead the development of in-house financial modelling and junior financial modelling resource and undertake valuation assignments for the division's greenfield investments and brownfield platforms/assets
- Manage transaction workstreams: due diligence, transaction documentation, financial close
- Coordinate inputs across commercial, legal, ESG, technical, financial, tax, and treasury functions to ensure smooth approvals and execution
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 6 – 10 years in infrastructure project finance / advisory / M&A / BD or other roles (with strong modelling experience). Please provide deal list
- Exposure to power or energy infrastructure is a plus
Skills/ Competencies & Preferred Characteristics
- Strong and advanced Excel-based modelling skills (DCF, DSCR, equity IRR, debt waterfalls) with ability to build and audit complex models: VBA is a plus
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, team-player, growth mindset, resourceful, strong communicator and negotiator, self-motivated and proactive, with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure and tight deadlines
