Job Description
Role Purpose
To manage and coordinate the development & execution of strategic planning, governance, performance management, organizational excellence, and change management activities by facilitating cross-functional alignment, monitoring performance and initiatives, supporting effective decision-making processes, and driving continuous improvement to enable the achievement of organizational objectives and strategic priorities.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation of strategic initiatives and roadmaps, ensuring progress is tracked, dependencies are managed, and delivery remains aligned with approved priorities.
- Monitor organizational performance and KPIs, consolidating performance data, identifying gaps, and supporting timely reporting to leadership.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment and collaboration to support consistent execution and resolution of operational and strategic issues.
- Administer governance processes and forums, ensuring decisions, actions, and escalations are documented, tracked, and followed through.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of operating models, policies, and business processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate organizational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives, tracking progress against excellence model requirements and improvement plans.
- Support the implementation of change management and culture initiatives, promoting accountability, stakeholder engagement, and the adoption of desired behaviors and ways of working.
- Manage stakeholder coordination and reporting activities, supporting alignment with national priorities, strategic partners, and organizational objectives.
- Conduct strategic analysis, scenario modelling, and risk assessments for future-state organization options, and prepare recommendations for senior review.
- Develop and update detailed plans and progress reports for the organization design and governance portfolio to support effective planning and decision-making.
- Coordinate inputs from units and stakeholders to support the department's planning and reporting cycles.
- Lead and manage day-to-day performance of direct reports by setting individual objectives, providing ongoing feedback and guidance, conducting performance appraisals, and supporting skills and capability development.
- Embed and role-model the Function's leadership, performance, and values culture at team level, and support execution of talent development and succession activities within assigned teams.
- Develop and implement organization design and governance policies, procedures, and standards within assigned scope, and support their consistent application across the organization.
- Monitor day-to-day compliance of organizational changes with applicable regulations and approval protocols, identify issues, and support timely resolution.
- Identify and recommend improvements that raise the quality and consistency of organization design and governance work.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, strategy, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree/MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Professional certifications in governance (e.g., ISO 37000), job evaluation (e.g., HAY/Korn Ferry), strategy or balanced scorecard (e.g., BSP), or organization design are preferred.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in organization development, organization design, governance, or operating model roles; government or semi-government experience preferred.
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
