Job Description

As the Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of our contract logistics operations. This includes managing the P&L, developing and implementing strategic plans, and ensuring that the team achieves its goals while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. You will be expected to monitor performance, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement in our contract logistics processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

. Provide strategic leadership to the DSS division, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives and customer expectations.

. Lead, coach, and develop the operations, warehouse, customer service, transport, and administrative teams to achieve operational excellence and foster a high-performance culture.

. Take full ownership of DSS Profit & Loss (P&L), including revenue growth, cost control, profitability, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

. Present Monthly/Quarterly Operation Reviews (MOR/QOR) to senior management and customers, covering operational performance, financial results, KPIs, service improvements, and future initiatives.

. Presentation to senior management (MMM - Monthly Management Meeting) covering operational performance, financial results, KPIs, service improvements, and future initiatives.

. Conduct Monthly/Quarterly Operations Meeting (MOR/QOR) with customer/s.

. Develop and improve overall warehouse utilization.

. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the primary escalation point for operational and commercial matters.

. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing warehouse processes, transportation operations, and service delivery to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

. Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, regulatory standards, workplace safety, and quality management systems.

. Manage overdue customer accounts by working closely with finance and customers to ensure timely collection and resolution of outstanding balances.

. Establish and monitor operational KPIs, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented where necessary.

Work Scope

. Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, storage, inventory control, order fulfilment, value-added services, dispatch, and returns management.

. Lead warehouse process flow improvements through process reviews, work flow optimization, automation initiatives, and implementation of best practices.

. Manage the Customer Service team to ensure accurate order processing, inventory reporting, customer communication, issue resolution, and service excellence.

. Manage warehouse delivery and transport operations, including fleet utilization, route planning, delivery performance, and resource allocation to achieve on-time delivery targets.

. Plan and allocate warehouse manpower, equipment, storage space, and operational resources to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.

. Manage the vendor approval process, including supplier qualification, onboarding, performance evaluation, compliance monitoring, and periodic reviews.

. Monitor inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, stock audits, reconciliation, and continuous inventory improvement initiatives.

. Work closely with Sales, Business Development, Finance, Procurement, IT, and Quality teams to support new business implementations, customer onboarding, and operational enhancements. Develop new process/operational needs to support new business.

. Support customer tenders, solution design, warehouse setup, implementation projects, and operational transitions.

. Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, security, environmental, and quality requirements, including customer-specific standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent experience in the logistics industry.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, with at least 5 years in a managerial role focused on contract logistics.
  • Proven track record in managing P&L and driving business performance.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team.

Working Conditions
5.25-day work week
