Manage and coordinate the sourcing requirement for the Technology department in alignment with the project plans. The major functions include finalization of technical requirements to be covered in the Request for proposals, ensuring no overlap with existing projects/solutions, providing contractual guidance and support to Technology teams, performing assigned tasks with consistency, reliability and efficiency in compliance with the Technology standards, objectives, priorities, guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Technology planning teams to identify the project requirements and transform these requirements into RFPs, RFQs etc., while ensuring that all the technical requirements are comprehensively covered.
  • Assessment of purchase requests to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of contracts or approved RFQ/RFP by in depth verification of BOQs, rates, discounts and in line with management approvals.
  • Evaluate new products and systems and report the feasibility for utilizing such solutions through detailed assessment in coordination with various Technology Divisions and other stakeholders. Coordinate to finalize MoU for proof of concepts.
  • Perform continuous market analysis for solutions roadmap updates along with introduction of new technologies and coordinate with Technology end users for adoption of these technologies in line with network requirements and market trends.
  • Monitors the work practices/procedures and recommends improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency and quality.
  • Reports and reviews with superiors significant events, key/critical observations and concerns to operation of the section procedures/practices as applicable.
  • Coordinates as required with other Technology sections, contractors and consultants and follows up as and when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Proven leadership and management skills in Technology domain
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with senior leadership.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • A track record of successful data-related projects and initiatives.
