Job Purpose
The TSR Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of all Timing, Scoring & Results (TSR) solutions across competition venues. This includes the integration of timing systems, results validation, TV graphics, and the distribution of official results to all digital platforms. The role requires strong collaboration with International and Asian Federations (IFs/AFs), the Sport Department, and technology vendors to ensure that all systems are compliant with sport-specific rules, federation requirements, and OCA guidelines.
Federation Coordination & Requirements
- Collaborate with International and Asian Federations (IFs/AFs) and the Sport Department to gather, document, and validate detailed TSR requirements for each sport discipline.
- Lead coordination meetings with IF/AF Technical Delegates and technology vendors to ensure full compliance with sport regulations, competition rules, and operational expectations.
Homologation & Readiness
- Define and manage homologation procedures in coordination with federations and vendors, ensuring all timing, scoring, and results systems are tested, validated, and formally approved prior to Games-time.
- Ensure readiness of TSR systems during test events, rehearsals, and competition simulations.
Venue Design & Technical Planning- Oversee the design and approval of venue layouts for TSR operations, including:
- Timing and scoring equipment positioning
- Judges and officials tables
- Scoreboards and public display boards
- Photo finish cameras
- VAR, replay, and review systems
- Technical and control areas
- Define the quantity, type, and technical specifications of scoreboards and public displays for each venue, in coordination with Sport, Venue, and Broadcasting teams.
Systems Integration
- Coordinate with the Venue Technology Manager and IT Department to develop cabling, power, and connectivity plans, ensuring TSR systems are fully integrated with venue infrastructure.
- Ensure seamless integration between On-Venue Results (OVR) systems and the Central Results Server (CRS), guaranteeing accurate, real-time transmission of competition data.
Results Production & Distribution- Supervise the development, validation, and approval of Sport Results Books (SRBs) with IFs/AFs, ensuring alignment with federation rules and OCA standards.
- Oversee the production, validation, and distribution of official sport results across all output channels, including:
- Venue scoreboards and public displays
- TV graphics and broadcast feeds
- Official Games website
- Mobile applications and digital platforms
Broadcast & Media Coordination
- Liaise closely with the Broadcasting team to coordinate TSR requirements for TV graphics, OB Van integrations, data feeds, and federation-specific overlays.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timing of results data provided to broadcast partners.
Monitoring, Reporting & Readiness
- Monitor and report TSR progress, system readiness, risks, and outstanding actions for each sport discipline.
- Maintain clear visibility of dependencies, critical milestones, and Games-time readiness to LOC leadership and the Technology PMO.
Workforce & Training
- Ensure TSR staff and volunteers are fully trained and familiar with federation workflows, technical systems, and Games operating procedures.
- Support training programs, rehearsals, and operational briefings for TSR teams across venues.
