JOB PURPOSE: To manage and carry out duties associated with the day-to-day operation, lead a dedicated team, and ensure the efficient and effective operation of Nadec workshop facilities. Involvement in the duties of workshop processes, a passion for quality control, and the ability to motivate and develop a team of skilled technicians and mechanics. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strategic Contribution Direct the implementation of the annual business plan and targets and implement the strategic agenda of the agriculture department to deliver NADEC's vision and mission. Ensure that the strategy is translated into operational business plans for the agriculture department and monitor the performance and execution of those plans to achieve functional objectives and deliver the Company's strategy. Leadership Direct the activities of the agriculture team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, and in line with the strategic project management plans, policies, and procedures. Build and lead a motivated, engaged, and competent team, by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals. Serve as a role model to ensure employees awareness and commitment to NADEC's vision, mission, values, and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated team, and continuously improve performance. Budgeting Lead the preparation of the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon. Core Accountabilities Supervise and manage day-to-day operations within the workshop, ensuring a productive and efficient work environment. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and efficient workflow. Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to maintain a skilled and motivated team. Coordinate and optimize the allocation of resources, including equipment, tools, and materials. Utilize resources effectively to maximize workshop efficiency and minimize downtime. Manage inventory levels, procure supplies, and oversee maintenance of workshop assets. Ensure the workshop has the necessary supplies and maintain equipment functionality. Implement and enforce quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship. Deliver exceptional results and ensure all repairs and maintenance meet established standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Collaborate with clients, assess their needs, and offer solutions or recommendations. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and understand their equipment needs. Provide excellent customer service and ensure a smooth client experience. Develop and manage budgets for workshop operations, monitoring expenses, and cost control. Ensure financial responsibility and optimize workshop resource allocation. Prepare reports, track key performance indicators, and provide analysis to higher management. Communicate workshop performance and identify areas for improvement. Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement efficiency enhancements. Introduce best practices, technologies, or training to improve workshop productivity. Policies, System, Processes and Procedures Manage the development and implementation of the Engineering policies, systems, processes and procedures, identifying potential areas for improvement, to ensure efficient and effective operation. Compliance Adherance: Ensure Employees understand and follow Nadec's compliance policies and legal obligations, act with integrity, report any violations, participate in training, and support audits or investigations to ensure ethical and compliant operations. Change Management Motivate the employees and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering best practices. Ensure that all departmental reports and statements are completed timely and comply with local and international principles of governance and the organization's policies and standards. JOB CONTEXT Manager - Workshop will work in the assigned areas and might have to travel as and when needed. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal Department (Within NADEC) All relevant departments External External Customers / Companies / Clients (Outside NADEC) All relevant parties QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Education and Certifications Bachelor's degree in agriculture, or a related field. MBA or Masters in a related field (Preferred) Experience: 5-7 years of experience in workshop management or a similar role, showcasing leadership and technical proficiency. Skills: English (Written and Spoken) Arabic (Written and Spoken) – added advantage. Microsoft Office Project Management Analytical and problem solving Execution excellence Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of industry-specific tools, equipment, and compliance with safety regulations.
